Adhesive and reinforcing mixture ANSERGLOB VSKh 38 is intended for arranging a hydroprotective layer on polystyrene foam, as well as for gluing polystyrene foam on surfaces made of concrete, brick, foam concrete, cement-sand, cement-lime, gypsum plaster and other mineral bases. The adhesive mixture can be used inside and outside buildings in industrial and residential premises. The hydroprotective layer can serve as a basis for finishing with ANSERGLOB decorative plasters and putties.
The surface preparation is realized according to State Standard of Ukraine (DSTU N B A.3.1-23:2013, DSTU N B A.2.6-212:2016) and State Building Codes of Ukraine (DBN В.2.6-162:2010). Surface must be structurally sound, clean, dry and free from dust, grease, dirt, lime, wax, oil or emulsion paints. Fragile areas of substrate must be removed. Surface irregularities must be leveled by plastering mortar ANSERGLOB BCT 20. Before applying substrates with strong sorption must be treated by one of deeply penetrating emulsions ANSERGLOB and exposed for 4 hours. Before applying substrates with low sorption must be treated by ANSERGLOB EG 62 or ANSERGLOB EG 63 BETON KONTAKT and exposed from 3 to 6 hours. Before setting protective reinforcing layer it is required to fasten heat insulating plates by rawplugs mechanically. After 3 days of bonding EPS boards it is required to sand the irregularities of surface by rigid float for sanding. Mineral wool plates are not sanded.
The prepared adhesive mixture ANSERGLOB BCX 38 is applied to the inner surface of the plate in a strip method in the case when there are irregularities up to 5 mm on the wall surface. The solution mixture is applied in the form of strips at a distance of 20 mm from the edges of the plate along its entire perimeter, and then in the middle. The strips applied along the perimeter must be with gaps so that air bubbles do not form when gluing the plate. The solution mixture is applied in a combined method in the case when the wall surface has irregularities up to 10 mm. The adhesive composition is applied to the surface of the heat-insulating plate along its entire perimeter in strips 50 - 80 mm wide and 5 - 10 mm thick, at a distance of 20 mm from its edges. The strips must be with gaps so that air bubbles do not form when gluing the plate. And in the middle of the slab in two or four places there are beacons measuring 150 - 180 mm. The mortar mixture is applied in a continuous way when the surface of the enclosing structure is flat, without protrusions and depressions. The layer is applied to the entire surface of the slab and leveled with a notched trowel or spatula with teeth of 10 - 12 mm. When using the continuous method, the adhesive mixture should be 10 - 15 mm away from the edges of the insulation. After applying the adhesive mixture, the insulation slab is pressed firmly against the surface of the base so that the adhesive mixture is evenly distributed between the slab and the base. If necessary, within 10 minutes after gluing, the position of the insulation slab can be adjusted.
Attention! In any case, the amount of mortar should be such that the slab is connected to the base by at least 60% of its plane. The solution should not get on the ends of the plates, the remaining solution must be removed.

Installation of a hydroprotective layer

To install a hydroprotective layer on the surface of the plates, apply the ANSERGLOB BCX 38 mixture with a notched trowel with a tooth height of 8 - 10 mm, embed a plaster reinforcing glass mesh with a density of 145 g/m2 into it, and then smooth it with putty so that the mesh is inside the mixture layer by 1/3. The mesh is laid with a cloth from top to bottom with an overlap at the edges of 10 centimeters. The average thickness of the reinforcing layer is 3 mm, the maximum is 5 mm. The application of a decorative protective coating is performed 3 days after the installation of the reinforcing protective layer. Before applying the surface, treat it with one of the ANSERGLOB primers.

The adhesive and reinforcing mixture ANSERGLOB ВСХ 38 "Winter" is used in conditions of low temperature t = 0⁰C. During the period of gaining strength of the mixture, the ambient temperature is allowed to decrease to - 5⁰C. The mixture "Winter" has a "snowflake" icon on the bag.
Average consumption of the mixture is 4,5-5 kg per m2 for bonding EPS, 4,5-5 kg per m2 for setting reinforcing layer.
Dry mixture must be poured into container with clear water according to ratio 0,19 – 0,24 liters of water per 1 kg of mixture (4,75 – 6,0 liters of water per 1 bag of 25 kg) when at the same time manually or mechanically mixed (by the drill on low revs) to obtain the kindred and elastic mass. After exposing 5 min mortar must be mixed again and used during 2 hours.
