Sanitary sealant silicone ANSERGLOB is intended for sealing, protection and performance of connections of various elements of designs in rooms which are operated in damp conditions, such as, bathrooms, showers, bathrooms, kitchens, pools, tanks, etc., and also for filling of seams when performing facing works in damp rooms between all types of tiles, except marble and some natural stone. It is suitable for sealing of elements of water supply, the sewerage, ventilation and conditioning. Sanitary sealant silicone ANSERGLOB contains fungicidal additives therefore it prevents development on a surface of a mold, a fungus, etc. Also sealant can be applied in systems of thermal insulation of facades. It is used on surfaces made of glass, wood, aluminum, porcelain, sanitary ceramics, etc. and on enameled surfaces. Do not use on surfaces made of bitumen, copper, lead and corrosive metals. Resistant to detergents. Heat resistant up to + 180°С. Waterproof. Does not change color over time.
Preparation of the basis is carried out according to DSTU - N B A.3.1-23: 2013. The base must be dry and strong, free from dust, dirt, grease, oil or emulsion paints. During repair work, before applying the sealant, it is necessary to remove the fragile parts of the base, as well as the remnants of old sealing materials. For dedusting, strengthening of weak strongly absorbing mineral bases, the surface needs to be processed by ANSERGLOB deep-penetrating soil. After drying (3 - 6 hours) you can apply a sealant.
The sealant must be applied with a mounting gun. To do this, use a knife to cut the tip of the cartridge above the thread, screw the cap and then cut at an angle of 450 the top of the cap with a diameter corresponding to the width of the hole. After that, the cartridge is installed in the gun and the sealant is applied under pressure to the seam of the structure. In order to make a smooth seam, it is necessary to seal the edges of the hole with masking tape. The seam must be even and have no voids. If necessary, the seam is leveled with a suitable tool, which is pre-moistened with water. After leveling the sealant, the masking tape must be removed. Fresh, not hardened sealant can be removed with alcohol or acetone if necessary. The hardened sealant is removed mechanically.
The consumption of sealant depends on the condition of the surface, the method of application, the width and depth of the seam. At a seam thickness of 4-5 mm the expense makes 15-18 ml / m.p.
